Fiorentina home shirt (viola), 1997/98, long sleeve, no name or number. Made by Fila with Nintendo sponsor; classic late-90s cut with white cuffs and collar trim, supplied un-personalised.

Under Alberto Malesani’s single season in charge, Fiorentina earned a return to Europe, finishing fifth and qualifying for the UEFA Cup. The side played a high-press, three-at-the-back system in the Fila/Nintendo era, with Francesco Toldo ever-present and rewarded with a call-up to Italy’s France ’98 squad. A strong spring at the Franchi secured their position before Malesani departed for Parma in June.
