Nicolas Anelka wore the No. 9 shirt during his breakout season at Highbury. Still only a teenager, he became one of the most exciting forwards in Europe, combining pace, balance and clinical finishing in Arsène Wenger’s Double-winning side. In 1998–99 he scored 17 Premier League goals and was named PFA Young Player of the Year.
