AC Milan fourth shirt (blue), 1995/96, official store issue, Demetrio Albertini 4.
Short-sleeve Lotto with Opel sponsor; blue diamond-jacquard body with geometric chest band, red/black piping and star-topped club crest. Finished with ALBERTINI 4 in original flock. Retail/player-issue specification but not match-worn.
Fabio Capello’s side reclaimed the Scudetto, the last league title of his first spell, built on a parsimonious defence and measured possession. New attacking pieces (Weah, Baggio) meshed with the old guard (Maldini, Baresi, Costacurta) to grind out results; the blue “fourth” kit was a rarely seen alternate in this campaign.
Wearing No. 4, Albertini operated as Milan’s regista, dictating tempo from deep with diagonals, switches and set-piece delivery. He was a constant in midfield alongside Desailly and Boban, earned Italy selection for Euro ’96, and remained the side’s technical metronome during the title run.
Pit-to-pit measurements: Approx 60cm
