Palermo competed in Serie C1 Girone B, playing tight, defence-first football and leaning on home form at La Favorita (renovated for Italia ’90). It was a pivotal “reset” season: the club rebuilt a platform for promotion, reinstated the pink-and-black identity after years of flux, and began stitching together the core that would push back up the pyramid in the early ’90s.
