Inter goalkeeper shirt, 1989/90, match-worn by Walter Zenga (No. 1).
Long-sleeve Uhlsport issue with Misura sponsor; padded elbows, polo collar and rib cuffs in the late-’80s geometric keeper pattern. The front shows the star-topped crest and Uhlsport detailing; the back features the large felt 1 in period style.
As title holders, Inter added the Supercoppa Italiana in August and stayed in the top places throughout a defence built on Trapattoni’s structure and the German axis of Brehme–Matthäus plus new signing Jürgen Klinsmann up front. Their European Cup return was brief, ending against Malmö—notably coached by Roy Hodgson—while domestically they remained one of Serie A’s hardest sides to break down.
Wearing No. 1, Zenga paired sharp handling with proactive sweeping behind Bergomi and Ferri, keeping a strong tally of clean sheets as Inter’s last line. His form carried straight into the summer’s Italia ’90, where he started for Italy and set a then–World Cup record for minutes without conceding before the semifinal—an illustration of the level he sustained across this campaign.
Status: Part of the Calcio 90 Private Collection, not for sale.
