Juventus retained Serie A and won the Intercontinental Cup and Supercoppa Italiana, while reaching a third straight Champions League final—an exceptionally decorated campaign. Operating as the left-sided second striker, Del Piero authored a career-best scoring run across autumn and winter, deciding matches with set pieces and curlers from the channel.
