🏛 PRIVATE COLLECTION 🏛
Inter away shirt, 1996/97, match-worn by Paul Ince (No. 8). Long-sleeve Umbro issue with Pirelli sponsor; The front shows the star-topped Inter crest and Umbro detailing; the back carries INCE 8 in the season’s flock print.
In Roy Hodgson’s only full season, Inter finished 3rd in Serie A and reached the UEFA Cup final, losing to Schalke 04 on penalties after a 1–1 aggregate. It was the club’s best league placing in years and the springboard to the late-90s rebuild.
Wearing No. 8, Ince was a box-to-box fixture -ball-winning, driving through midfield, and chipping in with timely goals, including in the Derby della Madonnina draw at San Siro on 24 November 1996. His consistency across league and Europe made him a core piece of Hodgson’s side.
Status: Part of the Calcio 90 Private Collection, not for sale.
