🏛 PRIVATE COLLECTION 🏛
Inter home shirt, 1998/99, match-worn by Ivan Zamorano (“1+8”). Long-sleeve Nike issue with Pirelli sponsor; season-correct Nerazzurri stripes and the black-outlined lightweight plastic nameset. The front shows the star-topped crest and Swoosh; the back carries ZAMORANO 1+8 with the distinctive plus sign used on shirts that year.
A turbulent campaign with three coaches (Simoni, Lucescu, then Castellini) brought a mid-table league finish, while in Europe Inter reached the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals before going out to Manchester United. It was the first season of the Nike era, debuting the black and later silver-trim numbers.
With Ronaldo installed as the main star and Baggio adding creativity, Zamorano introduced his iconic “1+8” - a crowd-favourite solution after giving up the No. 9 - and rotated across league and Champions League duty. He contributed important goals and his trademark aerial presence and near-post runs, remaining a reference point up front through an unsettled year.
Status: Part of the Calcio 90 Private Collection, not for sale.
