🏛 PRIVATE COLLECTION 🏛
Inter home shirt, 1998/99, match-worn by Ronaldo (No. 9). Short-sleeve Nike issue with Pirelli sponsor; season-correct Nerazzurri stripes and the black-outlined lightweight plastic nameset introduced that year. The front shows the star-topped crest and Swoosh; the back carries RONALDO 9.
A turbulent campaign with changes from Gigi Simoni to Mircea Lucescu and then Luciano Castellini ended in a mid-table league finish, while in Europe Inter reached the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals before going out to Manchester United—this was also the club’s first season of the Nike era with the distinctive black-trim numbers.
Switching to No. 9 in his second Inter year, Ronaldo mixed explosive stretches with injury-hit spells, still delivering double-figure league goals and leading the line in the Champions League—including both ties against Manchester United, where his duel with Peter Schmeichel became a headline of the quarter-final.
Status: Part of the Calcio 90 Private Collection, not for sale.
