🏛 PRIVATE COLLECTION 🏛
Inter home shirt, 1997/98, match-worn by Nwankwo Kanu (No. 11). Long-sleeve Umbro issue with Pirelli sponsor; classic Nerazzurri stripes, star-topped crest and Umbro wordmark at the chest. The back carries KANU 11 in the season’s lightweight flock nameset.
Under Gigi Simoni, Inter finished second in Serie A and won the UEFA Cup, beating Lazio 3–0 in the Paris final after overturning a two-goal first-leg deficit against Strasbourg earlier in the run. The league campaign became a tight title race decided in the spring, with the high-profile Juventus–Inter controversy at Turin a defining flashpoint of the season.
Wearing No. 11, Kanu returned to action after corrective heart surgery and made 11 Serie A appearances, scoring once in a 4–0 win over Atalanta and featuring in the European campaign that ended with a winners’ medal. It was his comeback year in Italy, arriving after captaining Nigeria to Olympic gold and shortly before his move to England.
Status: Part of the Calcio 90 Private Collection, not for sale.
