In Giovanni Trapattoni’s penultimate season, Juventus finished 4th in Serie A and won the UEFA Cup, defeating Borussia Dortmund 6–1 on aggregate in the final—a high point of the early-’90s Kappa/Danone era and the club’s second UEFA Cup in three seasons.

Settled into the XI as a hard-running, tactically disciplined midfielder, Antonio Conte featured regularly across league and Europe, shuttling between phases, pressing high, and linking play—an important part of the balance behind Roberto Baggio’s creativity during the successful continental campaign.
