Giuseppe Giannini set Italy’s friendly with Norway on 19 October 1988 in Pescara to his rhythm: he won and converted a penalty on 18 minutes, then supplied the pass for Riccardo Ferri’s 29th-minute finish in a 2–1 win at the Stadio Adriatico (Norway replied from the spot via Sverre Brandhaug before half-time).
