Match Boots | Brescia | 2001 | Roberto Baggio Akuna Matchworn Boots

Hand-made in Ascoli Piceno by Akuna, these are Roberto Baggio’s custom, match-worn boots from when he played for Brescia.

Akuna took Baggio’s exact measurements and built him durable, comfortable pairs to his exact specifications. He liked them so much he stopped rotating models and stuck with this make.

The names of his children “Valentina” and “Mattia” are stitched on the backs. Initially they were added on the lace-cover tongues, but Baggio later asked Akuna to remove the tongues and embroider the names on the heels.

This wasn’t a typical sponsor arrangement. After years with Diadora, Baggio went bespoke with Akuna—an artisan operation—not for marketing, but for feel and trust. He commissioned around ten pairs with the kids’ names, and even requested a tiny custom pair for his son Mattia with “Roby & Andri” (Roberto and Andreina) on them. That detail alone tells you how personal these boots are.
