Aron Winter was a rotational starter for Inter in 1998–99, used across midfield and occasionally at wing-back under a season of coaching changes. Inter finished 8th in Serie A, reached the Champions League quarter-finals, and were Coppa Italia runners-up. Winter’s role was functional: ball recovery, tactical discipline, and cover in multiple positions before his return to Ajax the following season.
